Above is "Environmental Garden". It was made in the early 80's and installed at the I–75 Welcome Center. During renovation ther it was taken apart and subsequently reassembled all askew but the pieces are still there. This is the piece assisted on and where I was first exposed to working with wet carved concrete.
During this time I took the photos below of Jack's work that was scattered around the yard.
I believe the pool piece below was made in the late 80's or early 90's. The bottom planter and bench is from the 70's and located at the Arizona–Sonora Desert Museum in Tucson.
Jack was a prolific artist working not just with concrete but painting, drawing, print making, clay, stainless steel and other metals. He is the author of The Illuminated History of Darkness.

This is "Existential Kiss"
It is made of painted plaster, probably in the 80's and about 22" high. A few years before Jack's passing two others were cast in bronze and painted.
